A Long, Grand Day on the Bike--revisited

Monday I promised some shots of the Tour de palm Springs. Here theya re. They're small, the bigger versions won't be downloadable for a while. So these will have to do.

You can see the famous Palm Springs Wind Mills in the background. We were lucky. There was no wind that day, but had there been any wind we would have been riding right into the face of it for about 30 minutes, although it would have been at our backs by the time these photos were snapped.
The shot with my jacket open was taken about 80 minutes later than the first set. Now I'm way past the wind farms, on Dillon Road as it winds its way to Sky Valley, anticipating the intersection of Thousand Palms Canyon and a welcome five-mile descent back into civilization.

I subscribe for the poker content but I'm also a cyclist and enjoy the occasional cycling post. Look forward to you posting about your first century.
